1956 Cadillac Sedan de Ville

This gorgeous 1956, Harley Earl designed, Cadillac Sedan de Ville was such a beautiful car to photograph. The interior and exterior looked absolutely brand new. This car was so massive. It's wheel base was the same length as a Chevy Suburban!

1956 was the first year for the 4-door hard top Sedan de Ville model and was a big seller for Cadillac. It was based on the Series 62 sedan chassis and had a 365 cubic inch 6 liter engine with 285 horsepower.

Cadillac equipped the Sedan de Ville with power steering, brakes, windows, and seats! It also had safety glass and several other features we take for granted today but back in the 1956 they helped put Cadillac at the pinnacle of luxury.
