I recently posted about a great looking but very rusty 1961 Chevy Apache pickup. Now here is an almost fully restored 1966 Apache C30. The owner has done most of the restoration himself and his choice of a dark charcoal grey body color with bright chrome accents makes this one mean looking truck.
The body is from 1966 but the hood and front grill and lights are from a 1960 Apache pickup.
The original engine has also been replaced with a big-block 6.5 liter Chevy 396 Turbo-Jet V8. It can easily move this 1-ton truck with over 400 horsepower and 400 pound feet of torque.
All of that power goes down to a great looking set of wheels and tires.
Chrome on black can be found through out the truck. The rear facing brim or "spoiler" on the roof is a nice design element found on these trucks.
The owner still needs to install the polished steel bed strips between the wooden boards, but that's a very small detail on an otherwise pristine looking truck.
